Question : I have been feeling a sensation of pressure/gas in my anal area for close to 2 months. I am extremely gassy and often feel constipated at night. I can feel hardness around my anal opening, like a ring when I press around the opening. I am extremely aware of my anal sphincter. It doesn’t hurt just very noticeable and very uncomfortable. I don’t think it is hemorrhoids because it’s been so long and I’m not experiencing symptoms characterized by hemorrhoids.

Hi
Discomfort in the Anal region associated with Constipation can be due to Fissure in Ano.
Bleeding will be the main complaint in Haemorrhoids.
Please take plenty of liquids.Eat high fiber diet.
Take plenty of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables.
Avoid smoking and Alcohol if you are taking them.
Carbonated drinks should be stopped.
If there is no response inspite of above dietary modifications, you should consult a Surgeon,get examined clinically and proceed further.
