Question : I have been having pain below my armpit and outer left breast for 3 days now. It hurts to raise my left arm but the pain feels more like gas pain but it won’t move. I’ve tried malocclusion and I take Prevacid for reflux. I also take an clinazepan .25mg because it is making me anxious.

Your symptoms can be related to many medical conditions.

One of the possible causes can be costocondritis.

It is an inflammation of the chest cartilages.

I recommend to use anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen 400 mg three tablets a day.

I also recommend to do stretching exercises to relieve the chest muscles.

Try placing hot compresses or a heating pad on the painful area three times a day.

If the symptoms continue I suggest to do a chest x ray for further evaluation.
