Question : I have been on 4mg of Xanax a day for 20%E2%80%99years and i know that i am dependent. Now i am seeong studies that Xanax causes cancer and I am scared. Xanax is the only drug that touches my anxiety. i have tried every other drug that is out there and none of them work. Now I am worried about cancer

There is no strong evidence of Xanax causing cancer. There may be some case reports of the same but benzos are mostly safe in this regard.
