Question : I have been on a clear liquid diet for today because I am scheduled for a colonoscopy tomorrow. About an hour ago I vomited an amount of dark green fluid. Also an ache in my lower ride side

Well, the dark green liquid could very well be bile, it can happen due to prolonged duration of fasting/clear liquid intake...

I'd suggest taking an antiemetic (for nausea/vomiting) i.e. ONDANSETRON 4mg along with an antacid eg. OMEPRAZOLE 20mg (PRILOSEC) for now and observe how you stay thereafter...

Do ensure to keep drinking in small but frequent sips at regular intervals...

However, if despite following this, the ache doesn't subside within a while, or any further recurrence of vomiting, please don't wait any longer and inform your doctor as prompt check-ups will be needed in that scenario...
