Question : I have been suffering from osmf. My mouth opening is three fingers. I would like to ask you is osmf surely leads to oral cancer in future ?

Hii. Oral submucosal fibrosis is premalignant condition. It chance to convert to malignancy is 1-3℅. So out of 100 patients 1 to 3 patients can get converted to malignancy. So you don't need to worry. You take proper nutrition, vitamin supplements, vitamin c and a rich food. It will help to prevent further progression of submucosal fibrosis to malignancy. Take more water. Avoid smoking alcohol. Please review if you have any queries.
