Question : I have been taking by prescription 2mg Lorazepam a day. I also have XanaX I can use if I need immediate help with panic attacks. I took a dose of Xanax yesterday. My potential employer knows about the Lorazepam, but not the Xanax. Mostly everything I google says it should be out of my system by the time I take the test

My question is not about the Lorazepam. It’s about the one dose of Xanax I took yesterday. Everything I read says the Xanax will be out of my system by next Friday

Xanax can typically be detected up to one week after use.

But, I would also like to tell you that the common analytical tests are class specific and not drug specific. This means that they usually detect whether a benzo is present or not. These do not specify which drug it is.

To differentiate between lorazepam and Xanax, specific tests have to be carried out.

So, it depends what kind of tests your employer carries out.
