Question : Dr. I am using the Buprenorphine Transdermal System . . I have sever Pain problems from Fibromyalgia etc. My question is . .I have developed Skin Reactions . . such as slight burning and vesicles have developed while using this program . .my face seems to also continuing having little water like pumps as well . . it looks like little open blister under the patch when I remove the patch for my next application time . . 1x per week . .I do place the patch in different areas on my body . .but the same reaction happens each time . . .I am developing scare from the left over healing from this problem . . .please give me your opinion on this issue . .Mary c (65) yrs old. . .

Hi,
I have gone through your complaints and you seem to be developing contact dermatitis to the patch.
You should avoid using this patch. Otherwise the reaction will continue occurring.
I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected areas and take antihistaminic like tablet cetrizine 10 mg.
This will resolve the reaction.
