Question : I have developed a very weird shocking sensation followed by a searing pain for a few seconds with no indication of when it is coming by my right knee. It stops me in my tracks when it strikes.

The sensation you describe could be paraesthesia. If this occasionally associated with pain in a limb usually indicated nerve pinched at the exit in the spine.

This happens when there is degenerative or traumatic damage to the spine.
