Question : I have gall bladder stones, had 2 attacks last month and getting insurance to get surgery has been taking some time. I'm pretty well constipated, and have a bit of heartburn yesterday. What can I do to feel better, what should I look out for, I need to start working a new job while I work out a plan to get the removal.

I can barely eat, I'm not very hungry, although I have not had any severe pain attacks, there is dull aches and loss of interest in eating. Over the last month I have mostly eaten peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, black beans with rice and avocado, chocolate almond milk, and some occasional chips and french fries, and some vegan lunch meats. A lot of apple sauce, and some pineapple.

I was on pantprazole for a month, and I was supposed to take suclralfate before bed, but I kept forgetting to take that before falling asleep. During my time on the pantprazole my digestion seemed better, softer stools, at least. My last stool was incredibly difficult, hard, chunky, and difficult to pass.

Brief Answer:
Avoid oily and spicy foods. Control anxiety and panic.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
I can understand your concerns.
It is good that you are already taking Pantoprazole. There are no medicines for gallstones.
Surgery is a must and go for asap.
The basic is avoiding oily foods. For example peanut butter has too much oil, avoid it. Oily foods increase the contraction of gall bladder after few hours after food and any other symptoms.
Have early dinner and try to divide your food into 4 parts to be taken as breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner. This helps in many patients.
You already have panic with severe anxiety. These increased all abdominal symptoms. Hence needs complete control to have minimum of symptoms that you have written about.
Take Sucralfate when on empty stomach for it to be effective.
Stool softeners after /with food helps to have soft stool.
I hope this answers all your queries and doubts.
Please follow strictly and you may have better life with least symptoms.
Also give me feedback and ask for any further relevant things if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
