Question : I have had an mri scan as I have a swelling near my ear. Mri says
Mri of parotid has suggested a vascular lymphovascular malformation which is not cancerous nodule but dilatation of the blood vessels.
Is there anything I can do to bring swelling down. My consultant says they don't intervene unless I am having problems.
I was on Benralizumab biologic which I have now stopped as I wasn't feeling well on it can this have contributed to the parotid swelling?

Lymphovascular malformations do not any surgical correction unless there is an indication.
No, medication can help to get rid Of the same.
Need not worry, they usually are not pre cancerous.
No, biological might not be the reason for the same.
I have seen the stool colour, kindly provide the information asked.

Will the swelling keep getting bigger or stay stable? Is there nothing I can do to try and bring the swelling down like ice pack, heat or anything please
Brief Answer:
Size might be dynamic
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back
Such vascular malformations can be dynamic in size, sometimes even be regressive. For now, no need for any intervention, unless its causing pressure effects or serious cosmetic issues, surgical removal is the only option.
Hope, I answered your query
