Question : Hi there I am a 48 ur old women I have had stomach issues for a while now it hurts when I sit and after eating no matter what I eat I have had cardiac work up done which is all ok I know i have ibs but not sure what else to do I did at some point have gastritis not sure what to do

Hi the pain is both upper and lower but mostly upper
Tests were done ultrasound a few years ago re: gastritis
I don’t take any meds for it Tums or Rolaids was told to take Pepcid

Hi,
It is most likely to be due to gastritis.
You can take Prilosec OTC for relief.
If symptoms persists, you can get an ultrasound scan and an EGD scopy done and also get checked for Helicobacter pylori infection.
