Question: I have hives around the anus area and forward to vaginal area. Itches like crazy. Just occurred within the last 4-6 hours. Haven't eaten anything different or unusual lately. Ever heard of something like this?

Brief Answer:
may be due to localized contact

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The fact that the hives are concentrated in a specific area and not wide spread (eg involving your face or trunk or limbs-unless it has started to spread), implies that they may be related to something that may have come into contact with the specific area.

If there has been any change in soaps, creams , detergents- one of these may be a cause
Some persons develop allergies late in life, substances that they have used before become problems.

If it was related to food or drink or medication taken orally, then it should be a wide spread rash.

You can use an oral anti histamine such as claritine or benadryl or zyrtec to decrease the reaction
Calamine lotion would also be helpful as well to reduce the itching or anti histamine creams

When you get home, a soak in a bicarbonate soda bath would also ease your discomfort

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
