Question : I have neck pain on the left side that radiates up and down. also have swelling that appears to be around bone on left side just under my neck. swelling is painful also

I have read your query and here is my advice.

Since there is swelling besides the pain, in my opinion, an infection of the neck soft tissues should be considered and evaluated further.

For this purpose, it is necessary to further evaluation with an ultrasound of the neck and blood tests for inflammation levels ( full blood count, ESR, CRP, etc.).

It is also necessary getting evaluated by your primary care Doctor in order to get a correct diagnosis.
