Supplement test boost is not safe to take- details below
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask a Doctor service,
I carefully read your query and here is my advice.
The supplement test boost contains testosterone. Testosterone has clear indication in certain medical conditions but is not recommended to be taken routine as a supplement as it may adversely affect several systems in the body.
It may negatively affect the heart and increase the risk for a heart attack, it may cause liver problems, stroke in the brain, depression, aggressivity, and irritability, male infertility, problems with sleep, etc.
So, it is not recommended to use supplement test boost and FDA (food and drug association), which is the authority that controls the safety of drugs, warns against the use of testosterone supplements routinely (in healthy males).
I hope I have answered your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
General and Family Physician
