Hello,

After discussing the issue over the phone as requested by you and clarifying the symptoms with you, in my opinion, your problem is most likely due to the compression of the nerve as diagnosed 2 years ago.

The problem gets worse over time and it is quite possible that your condition has worsened and the constant pain is indicative of the same.

My suggestion right now is to consult a neurosurgeon urgently and also get a repeat MRI scan of the lumbosacral spine to confirm the diagnosis.
