Question : I have pressure in the right back side of my head. It's not the first time, but this time it has been going on for a week and I feel slightly (very slightly) dizzy at times. I do have anxiety and did not get the best sleep this week. Should I wait this out or be concerned and act. For the past 4 years I have also had this weird double vision where bright objects in dimly lit areas slightly pop upward but it is not all the time. I'm 17. I'm freaking out because I think I have a brain tumor. Please let me know how concerned I should be.

I have gone through your query and here is my advice.

There can be several causes for that but as per your history, I think it may be migraine.

Please let me know do you have nausea /vomiting, increased sensitivity to loud sound, decreased vision?

For further assessment, I would suggest you to consult with Neurophysician for detailed clinical examination. He may procure MRI brain with whole spine screening, nerve conduction studies, electroencephalography as per evaluation to rule out any other possibilities of brain lesion/neuropathy.

Till then continue tablet advil. Take proper sleep and balanced diet. Avoid alcohol, caffeine containing foods. Avoid exposure to bright light/loud sound/strong smell.

No vomiting. I get slight nausea sometimes but I’ve had a very stressful week and have a big test coming up tomorrow. No decreases vision. No increase in sound sensitivity.
