Question: I have question regarding HIV infection disease. My hands and clothes may contaminated with body fluid when I using public toilet. I washed my hands and clothes with a soap bar when I came back home. But later my husband cleaned his hemorrhoids with the soap from that soap bar. Any risk of infection?
Brief Answer:
No chance of contamination.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
HIV will not get transmitted through public toilets or using common rooms or even sharing foods.
Direct contact with body fluids like needle prick or blood transfusion is required for transmission.
Moreover, HIV can not survive long outside the body.
Nothing much to worry about the soap and all...Avoid unnecessary concerns.
