Brief Answer:
Enlarged XXXXXXX glands may be the reason but better quality picture of both breasts are needed

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor" service,

I carefully read your query and checked the uploaded pictures.

Very likely you are having swollen XXXXXXX glands of the breast. These are oil glands that help keep the nipple healthy and in some patients may be more prominent and sometimes they may be more prominent in one breast compared to the other one.

The following image, D0B586BC-B0E6-4CAB-8AB8-09E6596C3498.jpeg, is a bit unclear and I would appreciate if you have another picture of that breast and upload it again. I would like to have a more clear view of the nipple itself.

It is not so clear if the images are from one breast or one from the left and one from the right. Having comparative images of both breasts helps a lot in diagnosis.

In conclusion:
- Very likely the lumps on the area around the nipple (areola) are due to swollen oil glands (Montgomery glands) which are generally no source of concern
- Having a more clear image would be very helpful to have a better view of the nipple on the first image (D0B586BC-B0E6-4CAB-8AB8-09E6596C3498.jpeg). A clear picture of each breast and indicating which is the left and which is the right one (in the title of the image) is recommended.
- In one of the pictures the area around the nipple seems a bit red, do you have itchiness or any other local discomfort? Is the redness real or this is how it looks in the picture?
- Normally swollen glands should not cause redness, pain, changes in the nipple, ulceration or other changes. If you notice that the lumps are getting bigger in size or you notice any of the symptoms mentioned you will need to have your breasts examined with a doctor.

Please let me know of the above-asked information and upload more clear pictures. Waiting to hear from you soon.

Thank you. I have sent two new pictures and the first new picture is of the right breast and the second picture is the left breast. They are not very red or swollen and have no pain or itching. I have been to my doctor who has completed a breast check by feeling my breasts for lumps.

Brief Answer:
The lumps seem to be XXXXXXX glands

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome back,

Thank you for the quick reply and the uploaded pictures.

I do not see redness or ulcerations or other lesions that are worrisome. I think the lumps around the nipple are XXXXXXX glands and they can normally be asymmetrical (bigger on one breast compared to the other).
If you have had a visit with your doctor while you had the same lumps this is reassuring as well.

If you notice any changes in the lumps or changes in the nipple or area around the nipple or any other symptom that seems worrisome, you will need another check of your breasts.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

No need to worry if there is no changes

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

If no changes happen there is no need to worry. It is your normal breast. Any changes though warrants a check with the doctor to make sure all is well.
