I Have Taken Cephalexin 500mg Twice A Day For A

Question: I have taken cephalexin 500mg twice a day for a cough with mucus for 10 days. My conditions improve. However when I stop taking the drug after 2 days my cough came back. I started taking bisolvon to thin the mucus & make it easy for me to breath. Did I take the right dose of cephalexin or It’s under the dosage? I am 50 yrs old and weighs 60 kgs?

Thanks for your response. How many days should I continue to take bisolvon chesty (bromhexine hydrochloride) to thin mucus? Currently I’m taking 8mg every 6 hours. By the way I’m also asthmatic.
