Question: I have terrible heartburn and always constipated i drink lots of fluids but no results without laxatives I had a Cat Scan done they say I have pethica and Iam scheldue for a Endoscopy next mo. What can it be and what can I do for the pain?

Hi Mahurley,

I do not know what pethica is, but you could have a hiatal hernia, where your stomach herniates into your thorax. Completely benign. If medicine does not work, I suggest you stay away from alcohol, tobacco, smoked and spicy foods, avoid late meals and sleep with your head rest elevated.

Yes they told me I have a Hernia. The Dr told me Pethica {misspelled} They are red spots on my Cat Scan. Why do I need a endoscopy?
