Question : I have these reddish spots around my pubic area but they don't burn, itch, hurt, nothing. They are just there. I shower 1-2. Times a day and I scrub thoroughly but it doesn't do anything. I had it about a year and a half ago and it didn't go away for about 6+ months and then after 3ish months it came back. I wear breifs regularly and excercise regularly but also wash myself daily. I assume it's some sort of fungal/bacterial infection but I dont think it's jock itch since it doesn't hurt.

Thanks for using the Ask a Doctor service.
I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Rashes can be due to a number of cause and it is important to have a look. I understand that it is an odd place but I would need to request you to upload an image of the affected areas. Also mention if there have been any other associated symptoms.
I will await your response. Based on your inputs I would guide you further.
Regards

Brief Answer:
you may apply antifungal lotion
Detailed Answer:
Sorry for the delay in responding.
I have checked the attached images.
The patches seem to be due to fungal cause (although usually it is associated with itchiness as well). I would suggest you apply Candid (Clotrimazole) topically over there for a week or so and see how much difference it makes.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
