I noticed the bump earlier today, it is a little painful (mostly just feels like a painful pimple), and I have applied a warm compress to it. It's turned red since I noticed it, mainly due to itching and picking at the skin (which I know isn't good)
Brief Answer:
Furuncle, topical & oral antibiotic
Detailed Answer:
According to your complaints it seems to be a furuncle which is a bacterial infection of the skin.
I would recommend you to take oral antibiotic like tablet cephalexin 500 mg twice daily for 5 days and apply topical antibiotic like neosporin ointment on the bump twice daily for 5-7 days.
This will resolve it.
Oral antibiotics are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
