I Have Tingling Throughout The Body As Well As Muscle

We need to rule out autoimmune disorders.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and would try my best to help you.
I have noted your clinical details. I am glad to note that ALS and MS have been excluded.
Based on symptoms, the common possibilities include sensory neuropathy (resulting in tingling) and benign fasciculations (causing muscle twitches).
However, we should exclude antibody-mediated autoimmune disorders, that can result in similar symptoms. Tests required would be ANTI-GAD antibodies, anti-thyroid antibodies and ANA profile.
I sincerely hope my reply has helped you.
I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.
Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD (Internal Medicine), DM (Neurology) XXXXXXX Consultant Neurologist

It is very unlikely that they have missed the diagnosis.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.
Both MS and ALS are fairly easy to diagnose.
MS gets easily picked up on the MRI as hyperintense lesions (white in colour) on T2 and FLAIR sequences, which is difficult to miss either by neurologist or radiologist.
ALS has classical clinical features, including wasting of muscles, weakness, exaggerated deep tendon reflexes and normal sensory symptoms (tingling is absent in people with ALS). Also, normal EMG is unlikely to be ALS.
Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM

Yes, it can be BFS.
Detailed Answer:
I mentioned about the possibility of BFS (benign fasciculation syndrome) in my first reply.
Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM
