Question : I have wrinkles on my fingers and would consider them pruney. Similar to when in water but not exactly. They get worse during the day, and it dies down during the night so when I wake up it doesn't seem that bad. Two doctors originally though it was eczema, and I've tried countless lotions and prescribed Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream which I applied for months and weeks, and it has only gotten worse. Not sure what it is, but its very annoying and makes it difficult to work with my hands, which I have to do on a daily basis, as the tips are very more sensitive and not stiff like they used to be. Almost seem deflated.

                                    Hello Dr. Asmeet,
My fingers are not itchy.
There is no history of any of this
No other patches on my body
No other medicines or ailments
Is there a chance that its thyroid related? Just after a quick google search it seemed like that may match?
Thanks,
Drew

                                    Brief Answer:
Go for certain lab tests
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Sometimes wrinkled fingers are associated with thyroid disorder, diabetes, vitamin D and vitamin B12 deficiency, dehydration and nerve dysfunction.
I would recommend you to get your thyroid function tests, fasting blood sugar levels, serum vitamin D and B 12 levels to rule out these conditions. Drink cleaner water.
Let me know if you have further doubts.
