Question : I just got blood work on 10/13/20 that showed Smooth muscle AB screen: Positive and Smooth muscle AB TITER 1:40 H (range is <1:20 titer.
I am scared about what I read it being autoimmune hepatitis, could it be something else as I did have gallbladder Sugery removal on 9/14/20. Hepatitis panel blood results all show negative and Mitochondrial ab screen was negative.
My AST was at 251 and ALT 344 on 10/13/20 bloodwork and recent blood work on 10/20/20 show ALT 85 (10-47 normal range) and AST 41 (11-38 normal range) down from last blood work.
I also had bloodwork on 5/6/2020 showing ACTIN (smooth muscle) Antibody (IGG) at <20 with a reference range: <20 NEGATIVE > or = POSITIVE so confused why it’s positive now on 10/13/20 bloodwork.

Why the test has been done?
I mean who suggested you and why?
What are your symptoms at present and why was the test suggested or they were incidental findings?
Waiting for your reply...

Brief Answer:
You seem to be fine now.
Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
No significance.
See, in easy language, hepatitis means inflammation of liver cells. Whenever there is inflammation the cells become permeable to enzymes inside it(SGOT, SGPT)...Whether it is Autoimmune/Infective/Any pathology is hepatitis if the liver enzymes would be raised.
Your recent liver enzymes are normal.
Just calm down yourself.
Repeat LFT again after 2 weeks.
Follow a high carbohydrate low fat diet for few weeks.
It's nothing significant and you seem to be fine now.
Regards
