Question : I just had an MRI/DTI of my brain for possible alcoholic dementia. It was a T2/FLAIR and DMI -- both with and without contrast. I have the disk and understand the technology, but confused on how white matter would appear on T2 and T2/FLAIR and Diffusion Tensor Imaging.
Is white matter dark on T2? An are ventricles blackish due to flair? Thank you

Cerebrospinal fluid is bright in T2 and white matter is dark.
In Flare Cerebrospinal fluid is dark and white matter is white.
