Question : My wife knee got hurt while doing exercise. I need a expert opinion from ortho specialist for knee.

please let me know these details if possible,
whats the age?
is there any swelling?
is there any wound?
can she walk normally?
is she taking any medicine for any illness?

apply diclofenac gel,take over the counter painkillers,apply ice pack,use knee cap,take rest.
if problem persists get xray of the knee done.
