Question : I noticed a red, raised, itchy rash under my left arm about two weeks ago. When it didn’t go away on it’s own, I started treating it with cortisone cream and more recently hot compresses. Since then it has stopped itching, but it has spread. I have no allergies or medical conditions, and I haven’t been bitten by any bug or insect. There is no pain, burning, or puss. As of right now, I have a couple larger scaly bumps on my bicep, small, less raised ones in my armpit and a few of varying sizes on my side, some with white heads. I just a few very small bumps on my inner thighs a few hours ago. Any idea of what it could be and how I can treat it?

Brief Answer:
Pityriasis rosea, upload pictures

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to ask a doctor service
I have gone through your query and it could be pityriasis rosea which is an allergic reaction to a viral infection.
I would recommend you to upload the pictures of the affected areas under the report section of the site so that I can have a clearer picture of the condition and can guide you accordingly.
Regards
Dr Asmeet
