Question : I ran out of Losartan. I can I take double of atenolol until new prescription arrives

If there is no way to find losartan take 100 mg of atenolol.

I read your query and here is my advice.

Losartan and atenolol belong on different groups of antihypertensive medications and taking one doesn't substitute the other.
Atenolol has more prominent effect I f lowering the heart rate and also hypertension.
If there is no way to find losartan for few days you can have double dosage of atenolol but take losartan as soon as possible. Don't exceed 100 mg of atenolol per day.
Tell me if you are taking other antihypertensive drugs.
