Question : I recently discovered I have mrsa for the very first time. Never had it before. I will be going to an urgent care in the morning. So they have to drain the wound or can I deny them doing that and they just give me an antibiotic

The treatment depends on the conditions of the wound. I believe that draining of the wound is necessary to help treatment bit also antibiotics may be necessary to eradicate it.
So you have to listen to the advice of the doctor which will evaluate the situation and you have to follow it's treatment plan.
I believe that drainage and antibiotics are both necessary to help treatment of MRSA skin infection.
