I Recently Had A Cat Scan And It Showed Nodules
Blood tests were for free T3 and Free T4, TSH, T3 resin, ANA, and sed rate. All within normal limits. Should I be concerned and see an endocrinologist locally? I have tenderness in the area of the thyroid.
I had Epstein Barr multiple times in my youth leading to Chronic Fatigue syndrome. Could this be effecting the thyroid? What should I do now?
You shuold not be concerned.

Hello
I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.
Considering the thyroid ultrasound and the thyroid hormone test results ,i can deduce that you have a Euthoroid multinodular goitre.
This means that you have nodules in the structure of the thyroid gland but the function of the gland is normal.
In these cases it is recommended the consult and the follow up of a local endocrinologist.
You should not be concerned. The follow up is necessary because the thyroid hormones and the ultrasound will be repeted after 6 months.
Epsyein Barr virus or Chronic Fatigue syndrome are not related to your thyroid nodules.
Hope i have answered to all your questions.
Let me know if i can assist you further.
Wish you good health.
You're wellcome.
