Question : I recently noticed a bump that has risen at my wrist behind my thumb. It’s relatively hard to the touch and is not painful to the touch. I have free ROM of my wrist but was just wondering what it mightbe?
Brief Answer:
Probably be a ganglion cyst.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Most probably it will be a gangillion cyst. It is nothing but a benign( non cancerous) swelling arising from tendon sheath. We have to rule out other rare causes like osteoma also.
Consult an orthopaedic and get evaluated. If there is diagnostic confusion, an MRI might be required.
Once the diagnosis is confirmed, you can opt for excision of required.
Wishing all the best.
Thanks
