Question : I recently started experiencing my heart skipping beats as I sit down. I’m 51, going through menopause, and diabetic on 1500 mg of metformin and 180-25 mg of Losarton once a day. I have no history of other heart issues, no shortness of breath or chest pain. I was experimenting it several times a day, but stopped caffeine, now I only notice it when I go from walking to sitting. I started on a diet about 3 weeks after this started ( it started end of August) and have lost 12 pounds . I do not currently have health insurance until January. Wondering how serious this is . I see some things saying not serious , could be my med, or could be fatal? I’m feeling fine otherwise. Actually feeling great since the weight loss. Thank you

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In my opinion, the heart maybe having some arrhythmia due to rapid weight loss.

You must see a doctor urgently and get ECG done. A Holter monitor may also be needed.
Kindly visit a facility where ECG is available.
Most probably its not going to be immediately fatal, but no need to take risk. No need to panic either.
