Question : I recently took a fall from a segway and took a blow to my calf. My foot swelled up and a large lump formed on my calf that has not gone away. Its been a few weeks and my foot tends to swell if I stand for long periods. I did already have some vericose bien issues in the area of the blow to my calf.

I understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to edema due to the fall.

I recommend taking anti-inflammatory medication such as Acetaminophen 500 mg three tablets a day.

I also recommend using cold compresses on the lump area.

I suggest to put your legs on pillows to raise them above your heart while lying down.

I also suggest to avoid standing up too long.
