Question : Male, 23, 5'10", 345lbs, no current medication. My friend whom I've had close contact with one week ago tested positive for Covid-19. I just got tested for it today bit will not get results for a few days. My question is, I work from home, the only place I can work effectively is within close proximity to my at risk family. Would you recommend abstaining from working until I get my results or do you believe I should be safe to work until I show symptoms or the test come back positive?
Brief Answer:
See details below.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
If you had close contact with a person which is tested positive for covid19 it is recommended to get isolated till you get the result of test. You are working from home so there is no need to abstaining from work since you are currently at home.
You need also to keep distance as much as possible with family members, keep masks at home and disinfect objects and hands as much as this can be done in family.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
