Brief Answer:
Esophagus burnt by food.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
It is very unlikely to burn your back with hot food.
You possibly burned your mucosal lining of the back of esophagus and it caused an inflammation of the mucosal lining which is hurting to you and causing that burn feeling.
I think you can eat smooth food not hot maybe fresh like yoghurt, or warm like room temperature soup.
Don't eat hard food like toasted bread, meat or unpeeled fruits.
It may require 3-4 days to regenerate depending on burn.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
