Question : Few months back, my brother met with an bike accident. From that time, his leg is swelling if he slips. After seeing the attached Knee MRI, doctor has suggested the surgery. Hence I thought of getting an opinion here. Please check and advise. Thanks you!

He has ACL ligament tear of the knee. If he wants to run or play sports then this ligament is essential. If he only wants to walk, sedentary lifestyle then surgery not required. There is a risk of early arthritis if surgery is not done.
