Question : I've been having this lump in my throat sensation for 4 months now I've been in and out of the hospital for it, I have anxiety and I take medication for it too. At first my lymph gland was swollen in my jaw on the left side but every since it went down the feeling has still been there, at the hospital they said it went down and they did an X-ray for my throat but said they didn't see anything this feeling haven't went away at all my stomach and chest been burning and hurting alot since I've had this feeling and I have no clue what to do, I have no insurance to go to the doctor they have told me to go to. I just want help, is there anything I can do at all for this feeling?
Brief Answer:
It can be GERD
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
The feeling of a lump in throat together with stomach and chest burning may be caused by gastro esophageal reflux. GERD ,the irritation of the esophageal mucosal lining due to passing of stomach content on it may be caused this lump feeling.
Using antiacids such Maalox may be helpful .
Omeprazole may be used also.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
