I Was Diagnosed With GAD But Never A Depression Disorder

Question: Hi I’ve been taking viibryd 10mg for 3 weeks then the next 4 months went to 20mg. I also take klonopin .5 mg as needed. I no longer have insurance and ran out of viibryd. Is it ok to quit cold turkey and just continue the klonopin. I was diagnosed with GAD but never a depression disorder. So not even sure why my dr put me on viibryd. Help please as I am a little concerned about side effects. Thank you!

Hello dear,
Stopping viibryd cold turkey is not good because of the side effects you may experience like irritability, nausea, dizziness, depression ,lack of sleep, low energy etc.
It is recommended to stop it gradually taking 10 mg of viibryd for 7 days.
So you can take half of tablet for 7 days.
You can also take klonopin as needed.

Thank you! I just don’t have any left. My dr won’t refill since I no longer have insurance. So I feel like I have no choice but to stop cold turkey. :(
