I Was Diagnosed With Stage 2a Multicentric IDC In May
Question: I was diagnosed with Stage 2a multicentric IDC in May 2019. I received 4 rounds of Taxol and Cytoxin and had Lumpectomy (times 2) with axillary Lymphnode disection. I've had a hysterectomy in 2014 and therefore do not know whether I was pre or postmenopausal at the time of diagnosis. (I was 44) My oncologist prescribed Lupron and Arimidex, which from what I understand is for postmenopausal women. Would this medication be a contraindication for my diagnosis? Would tamoxifen be a better choice?

I would like to have some more information
1.During Hysterectomy, whether both the ovaries were removed or placed intact? As ovaries secrete estrogens,it is important to know the fact.
2.Whether radiation is planned after surgery?
3.What is the Biopsy report of Axillary Lymphnodes?
4 What is the receptor status of the Breast Lumpectomy specimen?Whether ER(Estrogen receptor) ,PR (Progesterone receptor),HER2 positive ?
The drugs that are prescribed by your Oncologist can be taken.
Your lump.looks like Hormone receptor positive.
Lupron acts on the Ovaries and suppress the Estrogen production.It is used in Estrogen receptor positive Breast cancer.
Arimidex is also used in Localised Breast cancer which is hormone receptor positive.There was a study conducted between Arimidex and Tamoxifen for 5 years.Arimidex was proved more beneficial than Tamoxifen.

Tumors were ER and PR positive. Hysterectomy was partial. No ovaries removed. 2 positive axillary lymph nodes.(only one was positive once removed as it responded to chemo). I will start radiation (30 times) this week.
