Hi! Welcome to Ask a doctor.
Thanks for sharing your concerns and pictures of the lesion with us. I have gone through the details and will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, this growth can be due to hypertrophy of tongue papillae or due to HPV infection which may trigger such growths but mostly such growths are benign and heal spontaneously, however possibility of any neoplastic cells or malignant trends should be ruled out as soon as possible. I suggest taking an otolaryngologist or maxilofacial surgeon review in this regard and get yourself examined in detail.
Local lymph nodes enlargement should also be ruled out. If any such suspicion is suspected, MRI may be needed to see for ant further or deeper extension but not at this stage.
Meanwhile avoiding acidic foods, or fizzy drinks as well avoiding spices should be ensured. Drinking warm water and mouth wash gargles may be helpful. If these measures doesn't help it will need a small surgery to remove the piece of if it's causing trouble with chewing etc.
After removal it should be sent for biopsy and histopathological examination of the sections to rule out any malignancy. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Regards
