Brief Answer:
They don't interact together.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I think that possibly the discomfort is not caused by using pantoprazole and lorazepam because they don't interact between each other. They are commonly prescribed to be used together with no interactions.
Please prescribe better the kind of discomfort and how it started in order that I can help you find the cause of it.

Hope I have answered the question.

Thanks.

Hi,

I was prescribed with Pantoprazole by a doctor in emergency room and she said it might solve my problems (heartburn, tingling of limbs and tremors), but no one knows if my symptoms were actually caused by acid reflux or other problems that Pantoprazole could help. Yet I still trusted her and took it. The dose was 80mg per day (2 tablets). At the same time my physician prescribed me Lorazepam to ease my anxiety since he believed that I was having constant panic attack. The dose for it was based on my need (I took it 1mg daily before going to bed to eliminate my insomnia). After 14 days of Pantoprazole usage and 7 days of Lorazepam usage, I believed Pantoprazole had no use for me so I stopped taking it. For Lorazepam, I stopped too because I don’t want to be dependent on it. Both medicines were stopped cold turkey (without tapering off the dose). 1 day later (yesterday) I had severe muscle tingling and weakness, drowsiness, dizziness, unreal feelings, nausea, tingling of ears, more sensitivity of my nerves and tremors. I didn’t sleep either. So I begin to doubt they are the results of the sudden stopping of either medicine, or both. I searched online and saw that those are common withdrawal symptoms of those two. Please help me out. Thank you very much.

Brief Answer:
See details below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
The doctor in emergency room prescribed you pantoprazole because of the heartburn.
Other symptoms like tingling, tremors and headache may be caused by anxiety for which lorazepam was prescribed.
Stopping pantoprazole will not give you withdrawal side effects . Also stopping lorazepam will not give side effects since you only used it for 7 days.
The symptoms are possibly related to anxiety you were initially having.
Possibly you need to continue using lorazepam and possibly increase the dose to manage those symptoms.
Talk to your psychiatrist about continuing or stopping it.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

What should I do if my doctor aren’t available now? I don’t have a family doctor here so I usually have an appointment with the clinic. My doctor in that clinic isn’t available in the recent 4 days. I’m feeling very painful now and I don’t know what to do. Also I don’t think I actually got anxiety or panic attack since I was having a happy life. However, my eating and sleeping habits were extremely poor which may be the reason of my symptoms. And I didn’t exercise much. So I suppose it’s a nervous disorder or sth similar. Do you have any ideas about this? Also do you suggest me to continue taking the lorazepam? If yes, do I need to taper off (since I want to get rid of it)? Thank you.

Brief Answer:
You may need to continue taking it till you meet your doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
Lorazepam is used in depression, anxiety and panic attack that's why I was thinking that your doctor may have prescribed it for depressed mood , anxiety or panic attack.
I believe you need to continue taking it till you visit your psychiatrist and then he will decide if you need to stop it or continue it.
You will not develop dependency if you continue it for 4 -7 more days.
