I have no other symptoms whatsoever. Just the varicose veins. And just a little bit of pressure in my foot, although it looks much better since I have had it elevated. Did I list that I have high blood pressure? I did take my blood pressure medication.
Brief Answer:
As discussed in details below.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
It is unlikely to see such large varicose vein in laying down position and still visible on elevating the leg.
Hene the possibility of some sort of blockage or compression on the main veins has to be ruled out asap.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
One has to sleep in bed or sofa in such a way that the heel level is raised almost 8 inches above the heart level, the leg supported on something. This should allow all the blood in the veins to drain to heart and show only collapsed veins.
If this is not seen on elevation of foot/leg as explained, then an urgent color doppler examination of the whole lower limb, tracing the veins as above as possible in abdomen can show some block or compression over veins. This needs to be ruled out.
Continue your medications for hypertension as before.
I hope, this answers your query and helps you.
