I Woke Up This Morning And My Cheek On My Left Side Was Asleep Or Numb

The numbness you experience can be due to the nerve being pinched
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to AskADoctor,
This is Dr. Antoneta and I will gladly assist you today.
I can understand your concern related to this. Stroke can cause numbness in certain areas but this is usually more likely in patients over the age of 50, in those that have a chronic condition (diabetes, high blood pressure, known heart issues, etc.) and also the numbness is expected to be constant rather then get better once you get up.
The numbness that happens when you were laying down but got better once you got up and has not come back is very likely due to pressure on the nerve that supplies the cheek, and it is not concerning.
I would suggest that you try to relax and not worry about this. Also, let your doctor know about this so that they can examine you in person and confirm all is well, thus giving you a final reassurance.
In the meantime, feel free to let me know here in case you will need further assistance with this.
Wishing you all the best!
Dr. Antoneta
