Question : I woke up with my right hand numb, it was numb thru the nite and still is. I am a diabetic, I have hypothyroidism, hypertension and suffer migraines. I'm a 62 yr old female. I have no medical insurance.

Hi,

There are multiple reasons that explain right hand numbness. It includes neuropathy, vascular causes, pinched nerve and so on. It will be difficult to point out the specific cause without clinical examination and relevant tests. Therefore if the numbness continue to persist the whole day, it would be wise to see your primary care doctor for detailed neurological examination. A few battery of tests that include blood sugar, vitamin b12, D and others will be performed.

Specific treatment is based on the cause.
