Brief Answer:
Regarding Hepatitis testing

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and noted your concern.

No. Both Hepatitis A and B vaccines are not live vaccines. So, one cannot get hepatitis by vaccination. Moreover, there is no question of a false positive. Testing can distinguish between natural infection and vaccination e.g a naturally infected HBV individual will be negative for HBsAg whereas an acute or chronic HBV infection would show positive HBsAg and will be negative for anti HBs.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if you need any more assistance.
