Question : If a 150 pound person receives an amount of mAs required for a 250 pound person on an abdominal CT scan , can the excess radiation result in a dose of 50 mSv?

Thanks for the query.
Increasing BMI and abdominal fat significantly increases the effective dose received from CT abdomen and pelvis scans.
From recent studies it has been shown that For every kilogram of weight, there is approximately 0.1mSv increase in effective dose of radiation.
So the additional 100 pounds will cause approximately extra 5mSv.
