Question : Im 72 and think I had a UTI and now have vaginal bleeding
Brief Answer:
Please consult gynecologist at the earliest.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to 'Ask a doctor'. I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.
Vaginal bleeding does not happen with UTI. With UTI you may see blood while passing urine, but not vaginal bleeding.
Vaginal bleeding may occur due to low estrogen in the body, vaginal infection and some serious conditions of the uterus and cervix. DO fix an appointment with the gynecologist at the earlist and get an internal examination done to find out the cause of bleeding.
Regards.
