Question : I'm 72, in generally okay health - a molar that had been hurting just cracked and fell out. For the moment, no real pain. Its in the upper right of my jaw. What should I do, since its 10:42 at night (I'm in silicon valley).
Brief Answer:
No worries, see the Dentist in the morning
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for the query.
Well, if the molar was hurting previously and now fractured and fallen, but as there is no pain then you can wait till morning.
There is a probability that the tooth has become non- vital due to necrosis of the nerves and be of vessels present in the tooth due to infection.
However it would need proper treatment so wait till morning and see the Dentist in the morning..
Do not let food accumulate in the area.
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Regards.
