Question : I'm a 22-year-old male. My voice is CONSTANTLY cracking whenever I speak. It cracks so frequently I can actually crack my voice at will. This is really hard for me to deal with as my job involves public speaking. I'm speaking and then all of a sudden my voice just squeaks. It happens more frequently the lower I speak, but happens fairly regularly at all registers and tones. Any advice?

                                    Brief Answer:
ENT work up required
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to ASK a doctor.
This is definitely something that needs to be checked up.This may be result or vocal chords dysfunction or esophagogastric issues such as GERD, gastritis or larigopharingel reflux.
Home remedies include avoiding coffee, smoking, alcohol and spicy food. You should have hot teas with honey to relax your vocal chords.
WOrk up should include laringoscopy and gastroscopy which may detect issues that should be treated then. This may be vocal poylp or inflammation but some serious problems are rarity and most can be treated successfuly.
WIsh you good health. Regards
